Cream Point

Among the various colors in the Siamese cat breed, the Cream Point Siamese stands out. This unique feline is a result of crossing a red short-haired domestic cat with a Red Point Siamese and an Abyssinian cat.

The Cream Point is one of the 32 recognized and accepted colors by certified cat breeding organizations, making it easily identifiable to cat enthusiasts.

Among Siamese cats, the Cream Point is considered the most delicate.

The Cream Point Siamese is known for its distinctive color points, which include its paws, ears, face, mask, and tail, all exhibiting a cool, powdery cream hue. The body of the cat displays a creamy white color.

The paws and pads of the Cream Point are slightly lighter than the rest of the body, yet the rear of the hind legs and below the hock should show a more defined cream color.

With its elegant and delicate appearance, the Cream Point Siamese is a truly unique and beautiful addition to the world of Siamese cats.

Cream Point Siamese Cats: A Unique and Delicate Beauty

Striking Physical Features

The border color around their eyes, the pads of their paws, and their nose are all a pale pink hue. This subtle coloration sets them apart from other types of Siamese cats, as their color contrast is much more delicate and soft.

Appearance of Cream Point Kittens

These kittens boast long ears with broad bases and pointed tips. Their bodies are as elongated as their legs, and they have a notably muscular torso.

In addition, Cream Points have a long, slender tail that tapers from base to tip, accompanied by their characteristic large, almond-shaped eyes in a striking shade of intense blue.

Charming Personality

Cream Point Siamese cats are known for being quite vocal. This means they love to attract attention, so much so that it often seems like they want to have a conversation with you.

They use a combination of body movements and various vocal tones to express their preferences or to “talk” to you whenever they get the chance.

If you’re looking for a quiet cat, a Siamese Cream Point might not be the best choice. These Siamese cats know how to make their presence known.

Interesting Facts about the Siamese Cream Point

The Siamese Cream Point is considered a hybrid due to the complex breeding process required to create them. This involves mixing a red domestic shorthair cat with a Siamese Red Point. The offspring are then bred with an Abyssinian cat, and finally, the resulting kittens are mixed back with a Siamese.

This breed was officially recognized by the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) in the mid-1960s, despite having first appeared in the 1930s. They are categorized under the Siamese Red Point variety. In the United States, they are grouped with cats that have short hair and colored points. Regardless of the location, the Cream Point is not recognized as a separate Siamese type, but rather as a variation of the Siamese Red Point.
